Digital Transformation Grant applications open
Digital Main Street provides funding, training and other supports to help businesses transform their digital presence. Small brick-and-mortar businesses — including those outside of main street areas — are now eligible to apply for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant.
The Summer Company program helps students start a summer business and gain valuable experience as an entrepreneur. Offered in partnership with the Province of Ontario, this program provides entrepreneurial training, mentorship and grants of up to $3,000 to eligible students.
Community Futures Essex County in support of its ecosystem partners is offering a $10,000 booster loan to eligible clients of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Centre. ›› Learn more
Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship program for women
Under this program, employers are provided up to 50% of the participants’ wages per hour for maximum 40 hours per week as reimbursement for a 10 week paid placement to offset the cost of training. Employers can also be eligible for an additional $2,000 when the participants are sponsored for an apprenticeship opportunity. We can also help employers connect with other financial incentives, which can be up to $10,000 for sponsoring candidates from equity deserving groups including women for an apprenticeship opportunity. ›› Learn more
RiSE Youth Small Business program
The Youth Small Business Program (YSBP) offers 20 virtual classes and group mentoring sessions to help aspiring entrepreneurs who thrive in a guided teaching environment build confidence and develop business plans while exploring business fundamentals and wellness topics such as mindfulness. As a graduate of this 10-week program, you will receive a $500 start-up grant.
EnterpRISEing Youth Plus (EY+) combines the flexibility of their EnterpRISEing You online program with the added value of 8 weekly virtual classroom workshops and peer support discussion groups.
Tailored for young entrepreneurs who are comfortable with self-directed learning, EY+ graduates will receive a $300 start-up grant. ›› Learn more
Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation micro-grants
Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2022/23 micro-grants. They have six $5000 cash micro-grants available under four categories. Applications will be accepted until 3pm ET, February 14, 2023. Successful applicants will be notified by February 28, 2023.
